studio Locations FAQs

  • Q: What if we don’t want to be a part of recital?
A: No worries, recital is optional, but the kids love the experience of a performance day. You can always take classes just to work on your technique, skills, and improve memory.
  • Q: We live in the next suburb, it’s too far.
A: It’s a short way to travel to gain the best education, from the best instructors, and the best facilities in the area.
  • Q: What if we don’t want to pay for dress code?
A: It’s easier to give corrections to help your dancer grow if they are in proper attire.    The dress code is present so that dancers feet are protected and their muscles are kept warm.
  • Q: We want to take a break so that my dancer doesn’t get burnt out.
A: Taking a break can cause the dancer to lose flexibility and can cause the dancer to take steps backward in their development instead of forward.
  • Q: We’re too busy because my student just started kindergarten.
A: Skills taught in dance class will be useful in the classroom as well. Things like discipline and listening skills will be heightened through being a part of a dance class. Class is only 45 minutes a week, it’s worth fitting in for the life experiences that will be gained.
  • Q: I think my child is too young to start dance.
A: It is never too early to start dance. Dance will teach your child discipline, creativity, and coordination. When taught at a young age, these skills can be more easily built upon in the future.
  • Q: Am I too old to start dance classes if I’ve never danced before?
A: No, you’re never too old to start dance. All ages and experience are welcome here!
  • Q: What is the size of the class?
A: We keep our classes relatively small, this way students are able to get individualized attention from the instructor.
  • Q: Sounds great! How do I get started?
A: First, you can choose what class you would like to take by reading class descriptions and viewing sample videos on our website. Once you’ve chosen a class, it’s time to sign-up! To get registered, first click on the locations tab on the top of the website, then click on the location you’re interested in. Scroll down to the class you want to sign up for and hit register! You can register completely online, or you can call the main office to sign-up over the phone.
  • Q: We don’t have the money to be part of a performance dance team.
A: All Ultimate Dance On The Move teams will have the opportunity to fundraise during the year to cover the costs of performance team. We offer different types of performance teams in order to give options regarding cost and commitment. We want to give everyone a chance to be part of a performance team.
  • Q: Will photographs/videos be taken during class?
A: Each week, photos will be taken by the instructor and posted into your child’s specific album on our app. These class photos/videos can only be viewed by the other students in your child’s class. To gain access your child’s class album, please download our app from Google Play or the App Store.
  • Q: What are the values of your studio?
A: We see our dance studio as a family. We value friendship and building relationships between the dancers and the families. We value goal setting and completion, as well as building confidence in each dancer.
  • Q: What classes do you offer?
A: We have classes in several styles and levels. We offer ballet, jazz, tap, tumbling, hip-hop, lyrical, and more! Check out our class description section online for more details.
  • Q: What qualifications do the instructors have?
A: All of our instructors have extensive dance backgrounds and intensive training. They are all trained through our own training platform before teaching. They also continue to take dance classes and attend master classes and conferences to grow as dancers and teachers. Feel free to get to know our educators more by checking out our website, where we have our teachers talk about their experience and “Why” they teach in a short video!
  • Q: I don’t know what class or level to sign my student up in.
A: If you have questions about the level you can call the main office to talk with our director about class placement. We also offer trial classes so they can try a certain style or level to determine what class is best for them.
  • Q: Can I pay online? Do you accept credit cards?
A: Yes, all parents will have a parent portal that they can pay through. We do accept all credit cards. Regular payments will be taken out monthly. Please contact the main office if you need to setup a payment plan that works for you.

  • Q: What should I bring?
A: Please send your child to school with your child’s class specific shoes (only for January-May recital session; otherwise shoes are not required) and their dancing bear inside of a dance bag.
